Carl Edwards Fastest in Final NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Practice at RIR

It all comes down to tomorrow night, and 2-time winner this season Carl Edwards made it clear that that he came to Richmond ready to race. Edwards put down a lap of 121.863 mph, the quickest in today’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series final practice for tomorrow’s Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. Brad Keselowski followed closely behind, clocking in at a speed of 121.841 mph. Clint Bowyer, Jamie McMurray, and Jimmie Johnson rounded out the top five.

Farm Bureau Insurance Pole Qualifying will get under way at 5:40 pm this afternoon, denoting the first official time that the series will host knockout qualifying at RIR. And with 19 drivers vying for a chase berth, you better believe that it’ll be knockout like you’ve never seen before.
