Henrico County Police Athletic League Nabs $8,000 Through NASCAR Day Pin Donations
After being designated Richmond International Raceway’s charitable recipient for NASCAR Day 2010, the Henrico County Police Athletic League (PAL) descended upon America’s Premier Short Track in full force during the April 30-May 1 NASCAR Doubleheader Weekend. The greatest fans in all of motorsports responded, donating $5 in exchange for commemorative NASCAR Day lapel pins, which resulted in $8,000 for Henrico County PAL.

Fourth Annual Blood Drive Scheduled for Thursday, September 10
Richmond International Raceway will host a Virginia Blood Services blood drive on Thursday, September 10, from noon to 5 p.m. in the historic Old Dominion Building (participants may enter the property at Gate 4, off of Laburnum Avenue). Richmond International Raceway’s Drive for Life is a collaborative effort among the track, Virginia Blood Services, The NASCAR Foundation and Nationwide. Donors may register in advance by logging on to www.vablood.org.

Richmond International Raceway hosted its Ninth Annual Neighborhood Picnic, in conjunction with National Night Out Against Crime last night. The track welcomed more than 400 of its neighbors, treating them to food, beverages, music, games, prizes and pace car rides around the ¾-mile oval at Richmond International Raceway.

Richmond International Raceway Teams Up With Henrico County Police Athletic League for NASCAR Day 2010
Richmond International Raceway teams up with the Henrico County Police Athletic League (PAL) to sell NASCAR Day pins for the seventh annual NASCAR Day on May 21. Pins are now available for purchase at Richmond International Raceway’s ticket office, located at 600 E. Laburnum Ave. Additionally, pins will be sold on the midway during the upcoming NASCAR doubleheader weekend at America’s Premier Short Track, April 30-May 1. Half of the proceeds generated from pin sales at the track will benefit Henrico County PAL, with the other half benefiting The NASCAR Foundation.
