NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Stars Participating in Q&A Session Thursday

Five NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars who are racing in the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown presented by FedEx, a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model division race, will participate in a Q&A session with fans on Thursday, April 26, prior to the event. The Q&A will take place at 4:30 p.m. in the Amphitheater and it is open to all April 26 ticketholders.

Virginia’s Denny Hamlin Has a Case of “The Mondays”

Denny Hamlin took the checkered flag for the second time this season in a Monday NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race with his win at Texas Motor Speedway today. Hamlin’s first Monday win came on March 29 at Martinsville Speedway. Hamlin’s win today comes less than two weeks before he returns to Richmond International Raceway.

Denny Hamlin Stops at Virginia Tech Football Practice

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and Chesterfield, Virginia native Denny Hamlin enjoyed the experience of a lifetime yesterday by helping Virginia Tech Hokies head football coach Frank Beamer instruct practice in Blacksburg. Hamlin traded in his firesuit for a personalized #11 Hokies jersey and assisted the coaching staff by sending in plays to the offense during practice. Hamlin also was joined by Richmond International Raceway president Doug Fritz for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Virginia Tech facilities, including a walk on Worsham Field at Lane Stadium, visiting the locker room and equipment room, and checking out the suites high atop the football field.
