Richmond International Raceway is a staple in the racing community. A staple built on traditions, families, and generations. We thrive on helping families create memories that will last for years. Memories that will be passed down and mold new generations of fans.

It all starts with a moment. A moment in time that will shape your NASCAR experience. The moment you entered the grandstands for the first time. The moment when the roar of the flyover and the last note in the National Anthem match up perfectly. The moment when you see your favorite driver for the first time. The moment when the engines of 40 of NASCAR’s best come to life. Or, the moment when your favorite driver takes the checkered flag.

All these moments come together to create a one-of-a-kind experience that will never be replaced. A memory that you compare all others to, and the one memory you tell your kids and grandkids about. Many people come back to the place of this fond memory, and try to recreate it with a new generation. They want to pass this special memory in time down to the next generation.

NASCAR is a family sport. The Pettys’. The Allisons’. The Earnhardts’. And more recently, the Blaneys’ and the Elliotts’. NASCAR is the place where families and generations live. But, drivers are not the only families with generations invested in the sports. Generations of fans have become part of this sport, and will continue to be a part of this sport for years to come. A daughter becomes a Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan because her dad is a Dale Sr. fan. A family cheers for the Pettys’ because granddad starting cheering for Richard before he was known as “The King.” Fans today will see fathers bring their sons to races and cheer on the young gun in the No. 24. This is what NASCAR thrives on. Generations of families attending races and passing down time-honored traditions.

Here at RIR we’re proud to be part of so many family memories and special moments. From your first race to your first time at RIR, we’ve been here. The stories of fans attending races with their children, who now bring their own children. We live on these memories, and this April will be no different. We’re moving back to the tradition of racing on a Sunday afternoon, so families can create those once-in-a-lifetime memories together. We are getting back to our roots, and we know this will allow you to get back to yours as well!

So, come out and join us for the TOYOTA OWNERS 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, April 24^th and we’ll help you make new memories. Advanced reserved tickets start at $35 and kids 12 & younger are $25 off the adult price in every seating section. But, Sunday isn’t the only day of NASCAR action. Bring the family out to the ToyotaCare 250 NASCAR XFINITY Series race to see all the young guns battle it out with Sprint Cup Series veterans. Advanced general admission tickets are $30 and kids 12 & younger are FREE with a ticketed adult in general admission seating areas. The fun starts on Friday though, with practice and qualifying. Advanced general admission tickets are $10 and kids 12 & younger are FREE with a ticketed adult. Bring the family out for a weekend full traditions and memory making! You’ll be glad you did!
