The Chevy Rock & Roll 400 at Richmond International Raceway marks “One Last Race to Make The Chase.”  After the checkered flag drops on Saturday, September 12, the field will be set for this season’s Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.  Following the Chevy Rock & Roll 400, only the top 12 drivers in the point standings will be eligible to win the series championship, which is decided over the final 10 races of the season.

Because the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 is the 26th race on the schedule, the race will serve as the cutoff point, rendering the event “One Last Race to Make The Chase.”  Some intense battles have been witnessed at the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 races over the past several years.  This year is expected to be just as exciting, with so many talented drivers looking to earn a berth in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.  Who will be in and who will be out?  In 2007, Dale Earnhardt Jr. narrowly missed a shot at the championship. In 2006, Kasey Kahne bumped Tony Stewart from the top 12.  Fans won’t want to miss this one!

Tickets start at $40 and can be purchased by clicking here, calling the ticket office at 866-455-RACE (7223) or stopping by the ticket office at

600 E. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA  23222
.  Additionally, tickets are available now for the NASCAR Nationwide Series 250 race and Fas Mart Pole Qualifying for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, which is scheduled for Friday, September 11.  Reserved seats are $45 and general admission seats are $35 in advance.  Children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult in general admission sections on Friday night only.

The next event at Richmond International Raceway is the SunTrust Indy Challenge IndyCar Series race weekend, June 26-27.  The stars and cars of the IndyCar Series will battle it out on the ¾-mile oval, the shortest track the series visits, on Saturday, June 27.  Drivers reach speeds of more than 180 mph for a night of intense speeds and thrills.  Danica Patrick, Marco Andretti, Helio Castroneves, Tony Kanaan, Graham Rahal and the rest of the IndyCar Series stars will take to the track for some serious side-by-side action.  Saturday's ticket also includes the James River Grounds 100 USAC Silver Crown Series race.  The weekend begins on Friday, June 26, with NBC12 Pole Qualifying for the IndyCar

Sreies and the USAC National Sprint Car Series race, as well as an autograph session with all of the IndyCar Series drivers.  Tickets for Saturday are $35 (reserved) and $30 (general admission).
